HIGHLY ENCOURAGING OFSTED REPORT FOR SPRINGFIELD SCHOOL
Springfield School is celebrating a highly positive Ofsted report following a monitoring visit in October. Inspectors found that the school has maintained the standards identified in the previous inspection, in which it was rated ‘Good’.
The inspectors praised many aspects of the school, including:
· The school’s ‘vibrant community ethos’ and ‘positive and nurturing’ culture;
· The commitment of staff who provide ‘high-quality support and care’ and who foster ‘warm, caring relationships’ with pupils;
· The ‘broad and ambitious’ curriculum which is ‘carefully tailored to pupils’ individual needs’;
· The school’s provision for pupils’ personal development which is described as ‘excellent’;
· The way the school prepares pupils for life beyond school, enabling them to develop their ‘resilience, personality and sense of self-worth’.
Advice and guidance on safeguarding can be found on the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Board’s website: https://www.oscb.org.uk
We are required to show exam and assessment results for our pupils at the end of key stage 2 and the end of key stage 4. However, as we are a Special school we believe that you will get a more useful picture of our pupil achievements by reading our latest Ofsted report.
