Welcome to Springfield School
Springfield School, based in Witney, West Oxfordshire, is a special school for children and young people aged 3–16 with Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties. We are proud to be part of the Gallery Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust dedicated to providing outstanding education and support for young people with special needs and disabilities. At Springfield, we place children at the heart of everything we do. Our vision is built around our core values of Belonging, Possibility, and Growth. Creating a learning environment where every pupil feels included, inspired, and supported to reach their potential. Our curriculum is purposeful, engaging, and adaptable, designed to develop knowledge, skills, independence, and confidence, tailored to each child’s individual needs. We believe in the power of integration and collaboration, which is why our Early Years and Primary classes are co-located with Madley Brook Primary School, while our Secondary pupils learn in a purpose-built site at Wood Green Secondary School. Across both sites, we actively foster inclusive experiences, meaningful connections and opportunities for pupils to thrive alongside their peers. Working closely with parents, carers, and professionals, we aim to empower every child to achieve their personal best. We invite you to explore our website and see the incredible achievements and progress of our pupils. |
| At Springfield, everything begins with the child, their voice, their journey, and their potential. Our vision guides every decision, every lesson and every relationship.
Our Values – Woven into our Emblem
The flowing blue spring reminds us that everyone belongs. It represents community, inclusion, and the strength we find together. “We belong. We are valued. We are part of something special.”
The purple layers show our ambition and our belief in what’s possible. They represent hope, independence, and the courage to imagine bright futures. “We believe in possibilities for every child, every day.”
The green lines echo the Cotswold hills; a symbol of our roots and our journey to independence. They remind us that learning is a living, growing process for every pupil. “We grow. We learn. We move forward together.”
