Fairy Tales and Magic in Jade’s Class

The topic in Jade’s Class during the Spring Term has been Fairy Tales and Magic! They have focused on different stories including Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Gingerbread Man and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The pupils have been listening to sensory stories, explored the props, answered questions about the stories and then took part in lots of exciting activities.
When learning about Cinderella Jade’s Class designed Prince Charming’s suit and Cinderella’s dress, made Cinderella’s carriage and created wands.
As part of work on The Very Hungry Caterpillar the children added and counted fruit, sequenced the days of the week and the caterpillars growth and tasted the fruit.
During Jack and the Beanstalk masks were decorated and beanstalks were built and knocked down!
The Class made porridge, decorated masks and acted out Goldilocks and the Three Bears and when learning about The Gingerbread Man they made playdough, biscuits, masks and acted out this story too.
