The pupils taking part in this year’s Duke of Edinburgh Awards at Springfield have been learning about two very important issues this week.
Firstly, they’ve been learning about the importance of sharing and helping others by collecting items for the Witney & West Oxfordshire Food Bank. They’ve already amassed quite a collection but still have room for more! Please keep sending in non-perishable food items. The Team will be delivering them to the Food Bank on Thursday 2nd March.
Secondly, they’ve been learning some basic first aid care for their upcoming expedition. This includes how to roll someone into the recovery position, treat burns with cold water and apply plasters to cuts.
