Emily’s class head down to the woods for residential

Emily’s class headed off to Macaroni Wood for their residential trip at the beginning of April with their bags packed full of fun and excitement!

Fun and lots of it was the order of the day on Monday! The class explored Macaroni Woods, played in the playground and walked Macaroni Woods’ Owners, Richard and Liz’s, dog, Dolly. Then it was pizza and ice cream for dinner and everyone went to bed early because they were so tired (adults included!)

Tuesday saw everyone up early to feed the animals and collect eggs. Then it was off to Cotswold Wildlife Park for the day where they saw lots of animals including lions and giraffes but the highlight was watching the penguins being fed.

Emily and her class would like to say a massive thank you to all the volunteers who came and helped – Paula Downs, Helen Maycock, Tony Maycock and Richard Legg as well as to Jade who came at night to help us and to Felicity who came for the whole thing even though it was her days off. Also thank you to Sue, Julie and Lauren for coming. They can’t wait for the next one!
